NYC... military flair

This is a "United States Marine Corps Dress Blues" jacket adapted quite nicely for street wear.

I like it. Have always loved a military jacket with jeans or leggings.

Freakin disgrace to my Corps. You all dont really understand what we go through to have the right to wear the uniform do you?

I hate wearing blues and I am a Marine. she hasn't earned the right to wear it.

I'm disgusted with this. She didn't earn the right to wear that, its not a costume, nor is it a fashion style. So stop trying to dress like the military when you're not apart of it.
not seeing enough military look in the street?!? the military isn't something you wear just because you feel like it. YOU don't represent the military so don't dress like it!

beyond unacceptable. if you really want to "sport" the dress blues jacket, you should endure the HELL the brave men and women of our marine corps endure to EARN that jacket.

This really pisses me off . I love fashion don't get me wrong but I am 17 years old and my father died fighting for this country in the United States Marines. And i plan to do the same, so you must understand when people wear this to look good cute or what ever the case may be it pisses us off because the REAL people who wear this dont do it to look cute or fucken make the new TREND! They do it because they went to boot camp went thru hell , risk their lifes and leave family and friends back at home with out lookin back nor being able to promise they will get to come back!
This pisses me off as well as other people. Its like spiting in our face or buring our countries flag. I leave to boot camp in less then 5 months i swear if make it alive to see a girl or anyone wearing a dress blue iniform like this ...theywont live to see the light of day and best believe they and everyone else will think twice before doing the same. You can judge me but i really don't care because if you were in my shoes you would understand.

Simper Fi is do or die!
Orah

For my father i miss you dearly yet im glad your not here to see the outrageous crap fashion people have come to..

to all you military folk saying its an "earned uniform" why is it found online or surplus stores available for purchase if its "earned?"

if it had patches and medals attached id see it being "disrespectful" but it doesnt.

and to the boy saying "i swear if make it alive to see a girl or anyone wearing a dress blue iniform like this ...theywont live to see the light of day"....you wont do anything. you sound tough on a keyboard, just be quiet. your marines dont care what you have to say or think because they will tell you what to think.

I`m a Marine who willingly risks my life for America. I don`t totally agree with her wearing it, but It`s her right. She looks good in it. I would prefer it be altered so that it was more obviously not a marine hand me down.

The uniform is earned, It is sold at surplus places, but so are medal`s of honor.

How many Marines dress their Gf`s up in their blues with nothing else on and take a photo for some motivation? their Gf`s didn`t earn it, but you don`t see anyone complaining.

My request is that It be more alterred. Thanks!

And to the anonymous poster talking about attacking someone over this... I could not be more ashamed of you and sorry but your father would be to. My service makes the dress blues hallowed far more than her ability to detract, but your threats of violence to someone who disagrees with you is why I joined. I signed up at a time when Marines were dying for Iraqi`s who cursed America and praised those who did harm to us, If I would die for them then I`ll be damned if someone does violence against someone else in my name.

I think its completely disrespectful to me as a Marine. The uniform is a symbol of everything we sacrifice as a military force and a major part in in our heritage. This is a form of disrespect.
