NYC.... New York Fashion Week September 2010

The front entrance is under construction, seen form the Lincoln Center Plaza. The chairs were setup for a concert and will not be in place during the shows. Click on the image to enlarge.
High above the entrance looms the famous logo. Click on the image to enlarge.
The main entrance to the shows is nestled between the New York State Theater, now known as the David H. Koch Theater, and the Metropolitan Opera House. The tents are located in the park behind the buildings. Click on the image to enlarge.
View of the venues from West 62 street. This is the back of the tents. Presumably many celebrities will enter here since there might be a rear entry/exit in addition to several other smaller points of entry.

This residential area will offer a less hectic atmosphere, but its proximity to stores and eateries ( half a block) will in some respects surpass that of the former shows location at Bryant Park.
Many local business, including taxis and black cars will benefit from the move of the venue, since fashion offices, showrooms and other industry locations are quite far from Lincoln Center.Click on the image to enlarge.
